So, I hate to admit it, but my clothes make it undeniable. I've put on a few pounds. Like 11 or 12. And no its not a huge amount, but my clothes don't fit. And while I have thoroughly enjoyed wearing sundresses and skirts everyday, eventually I will have to put on a pair of pants again. And I really cannot afford to buy another wardrobe.
I am actually back to what was my college weight, but about a year and a half ago I joined weight watchers and lost about 15 pounds. After I lost that weight (and kept it off for almost a year) I bought new clothes and got rid of my "fat" clothes so that I couldn't resort back to my old weight. Well, I put about 5-6 pounds on over November-December (the holidays) - and I could still squeeeeeeeeze into my pants, but now that I have put another 5-6 pounds on in the past month or two I simply cannot wear my pants.
So I'm back on weight watchers again, hoping to (again) make some lifestyle changes and make better eating choices. I know it works, it just requires some commitment and some patience. I'm hoping to do this for me so that I can be back at a weight at which I am comfortable, confident and healthy.

I am worried about the whole getting back into my pants thing again. It is so easy in the summer while wearing dresses and what not to realize you have gained weight. Good luck with your loss!
ReplyDeleteAfter I graduated from college last year my boyfriend and I went on a 3 week trip to Italy. Let's just say that the weight I had lost during my senior year of college came back...times 2. Then we moved in together...got "comfortable". My clothes got tighter...and I had no choice (unless I wanted an entire new closet). I joined ww for the first time last week. I'm nervous, excited, anxious...plenty of emotions. My mom did it and it worked for her, so I'm hoping it will help me, too. I would love any tips you have ;)
ReplyDeleteUgh. Pants are the devil. But so is dieting. Good luck working on those pounds! At least you're doing it for you, to feel good about yourself, that's a good reason at least!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I have put on more than a few pounds in the last year, too. So irritating. And uncomfortable!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
You can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteI hate that.... I did the same thing a few months ago and slowly the weight has started to come off but I swear it was A LOT easier to put it on!!
(PS I still have heard NOTHING on the board... I am so confused why they are't answering me :( )
I so feel your pain. After our honeymoon, when my husband went away for 12 weeks for rotations, I gained 6-7 lbs and it is definitely sticking on me like glue. I am encouraged by your healthy decisions. Best of luck and I'm cheering you on!
ReplyDeletehaha... I hate this struggle with weight business.... so I just wear dresses and skirts year round... seriously its unusual to see me in pants... leggings are my bestest friend as are really fantastic boots, oh and tights... when leggings and tights go back out of trend... it will be a sad day in Elle's house! :) Good luck on the ol' WW! :)
ReplyDeleteI totally hear you. Wearing sundresses every day makes me a little too comfortable to just eat and eat with no limits! I'm not looking forward to trying to get into a pair of pants this fall :(
ReplyDeleteOh lady, I am so in the same boat! Good for you for getting back into a plan that you know works! Good luck!!
